Skills Bootcamps in Bristol

We are thrilled to announce that Bristol City Council has successfully secured a bid to deliver UK Government Skills Bootcamps in three vital areas: “Building & Construction,” “Intermediate Digital Skills,” and “ESOL Health”!

This is incredibly exciting news for Bristol and our commitment to empowering local residents with the skills they need to thrive in a dynamic job market. We believe these Bootcamps will play a crucial role in addressing local skills gaps and opening up new opportunities for individuals across our city.

What are UK Government Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, free (for eligible participants), and intensive training courses designed by employers to help individuals develop in-demand skills in sectors with a high need for skilled workers. They are typically up to 16 weeks long and aim to fast-track participants into new jobs or enable them to progress in their current careers, often including a guaranteed job interview upon completion. These programmes are a key part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, providing opportunities for adults aged 19 and over to gain valuable skills for life and work.

Bristol City Council is incredibly excited to be at the forefront of delivering these impactful programmes. We are committed to ensuring these Bootcamps are accessible and provide meaningful pathways to employment and career growth for our community.

More details about how to apply and the specific course content for each Bootcamp will be released very soon. Please keep an eye on this page for updates!
