Sewing

A supporting course for all abilities. Learners will learn to make a simple garment and develop domestic sewing skills. Learners will work at their own pace and support each other. They will learn in an sensitive environment that meets their cultural and language skills.

Learning Objectives Include:

• Improve English communication skills
• Develop confidence in Maths and English
• Identify sewing machine parts and their function
• Follow a pattern sewing line and use a sewing machine confidently
• Identify different fabrics and select appropriate fabric for different projects

The course will run weekly – every Wednesday – from 6th September to 15th November 2022

This course is open to Adults aged 19 years plus with few or no formal qualifications
