Learners gaining this qualification will understand that moving and handling must be carried out correctly and will recognise its importance in ensuring a safer working environment.

• Understand predisposing factors of musculoskeletal injuries
• Recognise the principles of safer handling and legislation
• Know when to undertake risk assessments
• Demonstrate safe team handling practices

This course is open to learners aged 19 years plus (in August ’23) with few or no formal qualifications.
