Gain the skills and knowledge with this qualification to prepare to work across the health and social care sector with visits from local social care employers

Learning objectives include:

  • Describe 3 jobs within HSC & CYPS and explain the knowledge, skills and progression routes for them
  • Explain the difference between statutory and independent care and describe how informal care contributes to service provision
  • Outline the importance of save moving and handling principles
  • Identify accidents and sudden illnesses that may occur in a health, social care, children’s or young persons setting
  • Give examples of hazards and their associated risks and explain when a risk assessment is necessary

This course is open to Adults aged 19 years plus with few or no formal qualifications

This course will run weekly every Thursday from 28th April – 14th July 2022
