Introduction to Working with Children

This course will help learners to have a clear understanding of different roles and settings in which they can work with children.

Learning outcomes include:

• Be able to identify the key elements of safeguarding
• Explain the importance of legislation and policies when working with children
• Identify key principles when working with children
• Be able to search for relevant jobs online
• Understand the different sectors in which you can work with children
• Be able to recognise own transferable skills
• Be able to explain the key qualities, skills and knowledge required to work with children​

The course will run weekly – every Monday – from 6th March to 27th March 2023. (The  final session will run from 09.15 – 12.15)

This course is open to Adults aged 19 years plus with few or no qualifications who are interested in finding about working with children
