Introduction to Upcycling Furniture
Join a friendly group to learn new skills to upcycle old furniture, especially paint effect techniques. Find out about an ongoing Repair Cafe in Lawrence Weston.
Learning objectives include:
- State 1+ Health and Safety issue when using tools (or paint)
- Help to prepare an item for upcycling (including sanding and simple repairs)
- Use 1+ paint effect technique on an item
- List 1+ ways to source old furniture/items to upcycle or restore
This course is open to learners (aged 19+) in the community who wish to learn new upcycling skills (paint effects) and who are interested in supporting the development of this community project in Lawrence Weston.
The course will run weekly – every Saturday – from 12th October to 16 November 2019.
