A short 3 hour course to give participants the confidence and skills to be able to use IT through their own devices and to be able to communicate and access remote learning courses and materials in order to continue to be connected with others generally as well as learning, self improvement and the ability to work towards personal progression goals including towards work.
Learning outcomes include:
- Recognise the basics of staying safe online
- List the elements of a strong password
- Demonstrate attendance at a zoom session
- Identify a variety of uses for the zoom application
- Describe 2 learning platforms and demonstrate how to login
This course is aimed at learners aged 19+ who are unemployed and have low confidence in IT
The course will run from 1st April to 30th April 2021
Exact dates and times of sessions will be decided between the tutor and learners.
The course may be carried out online or at The Greenway Centre.
