About this course
This course acts as an introduction to the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy. Each week will cover key topics in advocacy and help prepare learners for the accredited course.
Learning objectives include:
- Define advocacy and list the benefits to the recipient and the advocate.
- Describe at least two models of advocacy.
- Identify some skills that you already have that can help with learning and advocacy roles.
- Discuss learning needs to prepare for the Level 2 award, including completing assessments.
This course is open to learners aged 19+ with few or no qualifications.
The course will run weekly – every Thursday – from 30th September to 21st October 2021
