This online course will help you learn tips and tools to build your confidence in beauty technique. Learn about working in the beauty sector and explore courses that you can progress into. You will need the Zoom app to access learning.

Build skills and confidence in making and using health and beauty products in the home, increasing knowledge of techniques. Through this, have a greater understanding of the beauty industry.

Learning objectives include:

• Identify your own skin type and list three factors that effect it.
• Name three essential oils and state how they may be used in a commercial beauty setting.
• Research and create two makeup looks that suit different needs or occasions.
• Correctly identify your own face shape.
• Demonstrate and safely follow step-by-step routines used in the beauty sector.
• Create homemade products following health and safety procedures.
• Assess two relaxation techniques and feedback on how you would use them.
• Identify next steps to progress skills in the beauty sector.

This course is open to all learners aged 19+

The course will run weekly – every Monday – from 11th January to 15 February 2021
