This FREE course will benefit anyone wanting to find work in cleaning. Identify different types of jobs and how to find them. The course will help you be better prepared to apply for work and help you gain employability skills. The course will prepare you for interviews and explore the meaning of COSHH in the workplace. Link in with the National Careers Service and vacancies in the NHS.

Learning objectives include:

  • List different skills and responsibilities for the range of jobs in cleaning
  • List 2+ benefits of being employed and self employed
  • List what COSHH covers
  • State what hazardous substances are and what they can do to you.
  • Recall 1+ different hazard warning symbols and what they mean
  • Be prepared to talk at interview about good practice in general cleaning
  • Explore useful websites for finding job vacancies.

This course is open to learners aged 19+ who have few or no formal qualifications.

The course will take place on Zoom and by email.

The course will take place over 4 days – from Monday 22nd February to Thursday 25th February 2021
