FREE workshops to support beginners to get started using an online IT platform – to join a course. The workshops will support learners to get online safely for learning and/ or for finding work or volunteering. Learners will get support to identify what they need to learn.

Learning outcomes include:

• Access online learning via Zoom
• Understand how to set up a safe and strong password
• Set up a gmail address (if needed) on my own
• Find a resource on an online learning platform (Google Classroom)
• To identify 1+ ways to stay safe online, avoiding scams and fraud
• To compose and send an email (with an attachment)
• Find useful information using a search engine
• Learn useful vocabulary needed to get online

The workshops will run weekly – every Tuesday – from 20th April to 11th May 2021

Learners can attend one or more workshops as needed.

To be eligible for this course, you must be an adult (19+) with few or no formal qualifications. As it is a course for beginners, it will be suitable for learners with ESOL/EAL needs.
