This course will support Learners to work towards a nationally recognised qualification and is suitable for those who are working at Entry Level 3 and above. The course will help to develop the confidence and practical English skills needed for everyday life, further learning, and employment, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and communication.

Learning Outcomes:

• Improve reading skills by understanding and interpreting a range of everyday and workplace texts.
• Develop writing skills to produce clear, accurate, and purposeful written communication.
• Strengthen speaking and listening skills through discussions, presentations, and collaborative activities.
• Use English confidently in everyday situations, including work, education, and community settings.
• Prepare for and work towards a nationally recognised Functional Skills English qualification at the appropriate level.

This course will take place on Fridays – 11th September 2026 – 16th July 2027

This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’26)
