This is a friendly 13-week course that will support Learners to build maths skills and improve techniques and strategies for studying functional skills maths.

Learning Outcomes:

• Identify and use key mathematical methods needed for Functional Skills Maths.
• Improve confidence in solving maths problems using appropriate strategies and techniques.
• Develop accuracy in calculations involving number, measure, and data.
• Apply maths skills to everyday and real-life situations relevant to work and daily living.
• Use effective study skills and revision techniques to prepare for Functional Skills Maths assessments.

 

This course will take place on Thursdays – 17th September 2026 – 17th December 2026

This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’26)
