A course that will support you to learn and improve techniques and strategies for studying functional skills maths.

Learning Outcomes:

• To increase learner confidence in working with numbers and develop underpinning Maths Skills
• To develop useful strategies and techniques in preparation to study Functional Skills Maths, e.g. time management, organizing resources or reflection on learning
• To enable learners to gain a greater understanding of the calculation methods taught to and used by their children and to encourage them to support their children with Numeracy/Maths
• To provide an individual with the essential knowledge, skills and understanding that will enable them to operate confidently, effectively and independently in life and at work
• Learners use their understanding of basic mathematical operations in daily life. e.g. shopping, bills or budget planning
• To develop digital skills through the use of interactive online activities and use of the learning platform Padlet

This course will take place on Mondays- 21st September 2026 – 7th December 2026

This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’26)
