Essential English
This is a friendly 13-week course which will support Learners to build English skills and improve reading and writing for studying Functional Skills English.
Learning outcomes include:
- Improve reading skills by understanding and interpreting a range of texts.
- Develop writing skills to produce clear and accurate sentences and short documents.
- Increase confidence in spelling, punctuation, and grammar for everyday and learning purposes.
- Use effective study techniques to support Functional Skills English learning and progression.
- Apply English skills in real-life situations, including work, education, and daily life.
This course will take place on Mondays – 14 September 2026 – 14th December 2026
This course is open to learners with few or no qualifications aged 19 years plus (in August ’26)
