An online introductory English class to help people with a basic level of English to improve so they can better participate in life in Bristol.

Learning objectives include:

  • Listen to simple requests for personal information and respond appropriately.
  • Read and recognise key words in short texts about familiar topics.
  • Correctly spell some personal, common and familiar words.
  • Take part in simple exchanges in everyday contexts.
  • Compose very simple texts.
  • Use the present and past simple to describe your daily routine and your past experiences.
  • Comprehend basic vocabulary from a job application form

This course is open to ESOL learners (aged 19+) that are able to understand and speak some English such as greetings and write basic information like name and address.

The course will run weekly – every Tuesday – from 20th April to 29th June 2021
