A supportive course for adults who have been diagnosed as dyslexic or think they are dyslexic. The course will provide opportunities for learners to share experiences and strategies with others as well as understand some useful tools and techniques to aid spelling, writing, time management and organisation.

Learning objectives include:

  • Know what dyslexia is and what it is not.
  • Talk about experiences of dyslexia.
  • Share and explain own strategies for studying and learning.
  • Understand some useful tools and techniques to help with time management and organisation.
  • Name famous dyslexic people and say what they are famous for.
  • Describe some ways to deal with panic and stress.
  • Know where to find further help and support.
  • Understand some useful techniques to aid spelling and writing.

This course is open to learners (aged 19+)  who are dyslexic or think they are.

The course will run weekly – every Fridayfrom 5th February to 16th April 2021. These dates are subject to change and will be confirmed once Lockdown restrictions are lifted.
