Cooking Connections – Next Steps

A hands-on cookery course for people who would like to learn how to prepare and cook healthy meals for themselves and theirs friends and family. This course will also focus on what working within the food industry would entail and some practical work experience at the Park Cafe.

The learning objectives include:

  • Use a recipe to prepare a meal
  • Cook a meal from scratch
  • Complete a shift of work experience
  • Explore what working in catering might mean
  • Talk about Health & Safety
  • Use a knife safely and use the bridge, claw, and cross chop technique

This course is open to learners (aged 19+) with some basic cooking skills who wishes to extend these in a small group environment.

The course will run weekly – every Friday – from 26 April to 5th July 2019.
