Confidence in Employability [Remote]
This course will cover Personal Development and Employability skills for adults who are unemployed or need to develop confidence, skills and understanding needed to return to the world of work.
It will help learners identify their own skills and attributes and how they transfer into different job roles. It will allow learners to produce a CV and covering letter and recognise how to present themselves positively to employers, in person or via telephone. Learners will prepare an action plan for securing employment, including further training and qualifications where required.
Learning outcomes include:
- How to present myself well to an employer
- Able to create a personal profile for my CV
- Identify my personal skills and attributes
- Able to prepare for and take part in a mock interview
- Identify how to create a CV and Covering letter
This course is aimed at learners aged 19+ who are unemployed or need to develop confidence, skills and understanding needed to return to the world of work.
The course will run from 01 June to 31 July 2020. Exact dates and times of sessions will be decided between the tutor and learners.
