FREE online family learning course for parents and children from nursery to year 2. This course offers activities for you and your child /children to do at home. You will explore how using art and crafts, cooking together, play-acting, and songs can bring a story to life and make reading more fun.

Learning objectives include:

  • Learn 1+ new craft skill and make something together (using recycled materials).
  • Demonstrate following instructions and working safely with my child.
  • Explore 1+ ideas for games/activities to support reading together at home and make it more fun
  • Increase my confidence in using digital skills to find safe online games, free reading apps and free library services

This course is open to learners aged 19+ who have few or no qualifications and/or who are on benefits or who have a low income, plus their children up to key stage 1.

The course will take place online and ICT support will be provided.

The course will take place weekly – every Wednesday – from 4th November to 9th December 2020
