Become a National Numeracy Champion!
Our community learning project ‘Multiply’ are helping adults to improve their numeracy skills. Understanding numeracy and using it in everyday life can be a hard to manage. Multiply want to help adults overcome their anxieties with numbers and build their confidence.
Numeracy champions can help support adults to develop their confidence with numbers.
From one of our champions: Kate. “I often overhear people saying ‘numbers aren’t my thing’. That’s exactly how I used to feel, but taking time and working things out on my own, I have gained much more confidence in both my work and personal life“.

Our ideal champion:
- Works in Bristol for a local employer
- Supportive and friendly individual.
- Empathetic towards individuals who have difficulties with numeracy.
To become a national numeracy champion, you can sign up for 2 online CPD courses. These are run by the National Numeracy charity and aimed at employers to help support their staff who have low confidence in numeracy.
