Tomorrow is international women’s day and groups worldwide will be celebrating and raising awareness of issues that affect women. We know that even though it seems that we live in an equal world, women are still affected by issues such as gender based violence, e.g. domestic abuse and street harassment, a lack of equity in the workplace and a lack of access to decent healthcare and education.
This year there is a global theme to the day called #BreakTheBias:
Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women’s equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.
