Details of Role:

Bristol City Council’s Community Learning Team are looking for casual/part time tutors to deliver the following courses:

  • Accredited Health and Social Care courses at L1
  • Family Learning courses

We are funded though the Education and Skills Funding agency to provide free courses to adults with few or no qualifications.  We currently offer Health and Social Care at Level 1 as a stand alone, 36 hour, portfolio based course taught one day a week for 9 weeks; or an intensive 18 hour portfolio course taught over a single week in associatioin with Alliance Care and Weston College.

Family Learning courses are between 12 and 20 hours long and aim to give learners the confidence and skills needed to support their chilren’s learning as well as the opportunity to explore their own further learning and progression into work.

We are looking for tutors with experience of community learning who have worked with hard to reach adults in group settings.  In addition, tutors work in a range of venues across the city and so a willingness to travel is prefered.
