Women and the web

In a follow up to our previous post about safety online I’ve just had my attention drawn to a story from the Verge about the work that the Mozilla foundation is doing to make women, in particular, feel safe online.

We want to help shift the default to one where women have a strong, equitable role in reading, writing and participating on the web—and, ultimately, help lead the next wave of openness, innovation and opportunity online.

It’s also reminded me that Mozilla has a fantastic suite of teaching resources for web literacy that you can use to embed into classes or take on some self guided study:
