Introduction to Volunteering at Lawrence Weston Community Farm

This course is aimed at people who are interested in volunteering at Lawrence Weston Community Farm. We will spend most of our time on the farm – learning how to safely carry out basic farm tasks. There is an emphasis on working with others to complete tasks, improving learners’ confidence and ability in being able to contribute to a community project. Learning objectives include:

  • Identify ways of staying safe on the Community Farm
  • Describe the benefits of volunteering – to yourself and the community
  • Work together with others to carry out basic tasks on the Community Farm

This course is open to the public – aged 19+ years with few or no qualifications.

The course will run weekly for four weeks – every Monday – starting 4th June and ending 16th July 2018.
