Bristol City Council, along with other councils in the West of England, has relaunched a scheme that aims to help people find good quality rented accommodation in the city and surrounding areas. Rent with Confidence is a voluntary scheme that aims to protect tenants by setting out a benchmark for landlords and letting agents in the private rented sector. The scheme will help tenants rent with confidence, knowing that their landlord or agent is approved and should meet realistic standards. We have launched five consultations for how Bristol City Council could deliver local services with a reduced budget. The five areas to be considered are; libraries, public toilets, school crossing patrols, Neighbourhood Partnerships and Bristol Community Links. You can share your views on these by filling in the ‘Your Neighbourhood’ consultations and we ask that you comment on as many of these proposals as possible.
